My New Fav Bag

Toting a fringe bag is so much fun.  Try it; it's as if your bag is dancing as you walk.  You might like the Karma 54 Suede Fringe Bag, or the fringe bag by JJ Winters or Cleobella.  Whichever you choose, a fringe bag is the perfect sidekick to your boho self.

English Staffordshire Spaniels

I'm coveting an antique Staffordshire porcelain spaniel; they're quirky and cute and a timeless collectable. The Staffordshire Spaniel was the quintessential Victorian bourgeois status-symbol ornament: no mantelpiece was complete without a pair of spaniels standing guard. The spaniel figurines - always produced in pairs (facing opposite directions), were attributed to royalty favouring the King Charles Spaniel breed.  Staffordshire is a county in the West Midlands of England where spaniel figurines originated and have been produced since the 1700s. (Wiki) Antiques and dogs are two of my greatest loves, so a Staffordshire spaniel is a must-have for my home.

Decked Out

unknown source

I'm not exactly sure what possessed me to blog about decorating with skateboards, but here it is.  I suspect I got the notion because of my upcoming trip home to visit my family; more to the point - I'll be seeing my older brother who is a skater-4-life, so I suspect this post was inspired by my homecoming and a deep-seated desire to convince him that even his 'Sex-and-the-City' loving, big city dwelling little sister can be 'super rad'.  All this to say - skateboards can double as artwork and make for pretty decorations.  (Did I just say that?)

Summer Inside Out

I'm a regular visitor at Planete Deco - a great blog written by Lilly Rose, a 'Parisianer' with big dreams of beautiful (expensive) interiors.  She recently introduced us to this home in Majorca, Spain that is so bright and clearly inspired by the sun - I couldn't resist re-posting it here.  Infused with light, natural textures and pops of bright earthy colours like green and yellow, this home is summer to the core.
